Health & Safety
We take the Health and Safety aspect of what we do very seriously indeed. We have an extensive generic policy that has been written with hindsight encompassing the many years experience that we have gained. Although we have a generic policy in place, there is always something to dynamic-risk assess whilst we are on an eviction encampment. Dealing with very serious Protestors and Activists is similar in principle to playing a game of chess; they make a move, we make a move, they make another move. To date it has been a case of checkmate to UK Evict Ltd T/A National Eviction Team.
One of our guiding principles is not to rush in like a "bull in a china shop". It is to take the initial step back, and see what is in front of you and then deal with it. If it’s a situation we have not come across before, such as the female who had taken all her clothes off in a tree house, inserted a 6 inch nail through her own ear and then hammered the nail into the tree. She also had a D–Lock around her neck, and her arm inserted into a Lock-On. This certainly paints a picture of how far Environmental Protestors are prepared to go in order to stop you making progress.
In the early years we worked extremely hard and very closely with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). That has not changed. They will be the first to admit, that they were also on a learning curve in agreeing our Methodology Statements and Risk Assessments. However over many trusted years of safely removing Protestors, UK Evict Ltd has the confidence of the HSE to undertake this very high risk and dangerous work.
However, it is only through meticulous planning, and years of experience that we can stay on top of our game.
